Affected population Low pathogenic avian influenza H7 was detected 14 March 2019 in a holding with mallards in the village Brenderup in the municipality of Middelfart. The population of the holding consisted of 3300 mallards. The farm breeds mallards for restocking supplies of game. There had not been clinical signs of disease among the animals. Mallards were tested in accordance with the Danish surveillance programme for avian influenza in poultry and game birds. All the susceptible animals at the infected holding were killed and destroyed on 15 March 2019.
