Information received on 17/02/2017 from Dr Olga Shevchenko, Head of Directorate fot International Cooperation, Directorate fot International Cooperation, State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Kiev, Ukraine
In a zoo there were 931 birds of 104 different species. 10 Pavo cristatus died. Samples were taken from the carcasses and a positive result for HPAI (subtype H5N8) was obtained. A monitoring, zoning, clinical control and other related measures are ongoing.
