A second outbreak of Bird Flu has been confirmed in a Northern Ireland flock.
The Lisburn poultry farm is the second commercial flock to be infected by the H5N8 virus.
Chief Veterinary Officer for Northern Ireland Robert Huey said last night that 31,000 birds had to be euthanised as a result of the new outbreak. He also warned that more poultry flocks across Northern Ireland could be infected.
"While I have now confirmed Northern Ireland's second ever case of H5N8 in domestic poultry, we are also investigating reports of further suspicious outbreaks of disease across the region...
