Information received on 10/11/2017 from Dr Silvio Borrello, Chief Veterinary Officer, Food Safety and Collegial Bodies for Health Protection, Minist?re de la Sant?, Department for Veterinary Public Health, Rome, Italy
Positivity concerns a columbus (Columba livia) and a kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) positive to HPAI H5N8 viruses, found dead at a breeding farm in Ferrara already with an outbreak. Animals were safely disposed of.
