Information received on 21/01/2019 from Dr Per Starcke Henriksen, Chief Veterinary Officer, Danish Veterinary and Food Administration, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, Glostrup, Denmark
On January 4th, a common buzzard (Buteo buteo) was found dead in R?rvig, municipality of Odsherred. On January 15th, the National Veterinary Institute confirmed highly pathogenic avian influenza virus (H5N6) in the sample from the common buzzard.
