Information received on 15/05/2018 from Dr Per Starcke Henriksen, Chief Veterinary Officer, Danish Veterinary and Food Administration, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, Glostrup, Denmark
On February 12th, a white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) was found dead in B?t? Plantage on the Island Falster. On April 26th, the National Veterinary Institute confirmed highly pathogenic avian influenza virus (H5N6) in the samples from the eagle.
On March 24th, a common buzzard (Buteo buteo) was found dead in R?nne on the island Bornholm. On April 18th, the National Veterinary Institute confirmed highly pathogenic avian influenza virus (H5N6) in the samples from the buzzard.
On March 24th, a common buzzard (Buteo buteo) was found dead near Vester Hassing. On May 8th, the National Veterinary Institute confirmed highly pathogenic avian influenza virus (H5N6) in the samples from the buzzard.
On March 25th, a hooded crow (Corvus cornix) and a common buzzard (Buteo buteo) were found dead near Nibe. On April 6th, the National Veterinary Institute confirmed highly pathogenic avian influenza virus (H5N6) in the samples from the crow and the buzzard.

On April 8th, a common buzzard (Buteo buteo) was found dead near Tylstrup. On April 18th, the National Veterinary Institute confirmed highly pathogenic avian influenza virus (H5N6) in the samples from the buzzard.
