    In the Czech Republic, three people are infected with new coronavirus . Two are located in Na Bulovce Hospital in Prague, one in ?st? nad Labem. The Minister of Health Adam Vojtěch (for ANO) also confirmed CT24 information at the press briefing.

    A woman in ?st? nad Labem is the fourth coronavirus patient in the Czech Republic

    In the Czech Republic, the fourth case of coronavirus is confirmed. A 55-year-old woman at Masaryk Hospital in ?st? nad Labem had a positive test. It was confirmed to Czech Television by Pavel Dlouh?, the head of the local infection department. The woman was in Italy in the same hotel as the man from Decin, who had confirmed the disease on Sunday. He is one of twenty-eight people in whom health care professionals have been waiting for test results. All should be known on Tuesday morning.

      The fourth and fifth cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were registered on Monday evening in the Czech Republic, a hospital spokesman told reporters.

      A 53-year-old woman who returned from northern Italy was hospitalized in Usti nad Labem, he said.

      The second one is a young Ecuadoran woman who was traveling with the American student has now tested positive after being retested.

          The number of people in the Czech Republic known to be infected with the new coronavirus now stands at 28. Nearly 800 people have now been examined for the infection with 200 tests carried out on Saturday alone. The first three detected cases of Covid-19 in the country were announced last Sunday.

          Some 24 of the 28 cases to date have been linked to Italy, which has seen over 230 deaths caused by the coronavirus. The other four cases have been traced to the US city of Boston.

          None of the patients with Covid-19 in the Czech Republic are in a serious condition. They are being treated at Prague’s Na Bulovce hospital and a hospital in ?st? nad Labem while the number in home quarantine is rising.

In the first case, it was a 61-year-old woman who was in contact with a colleague who contracted COVID-19 after returning from Italy.               As of the morning of 11 March morning, there were 64 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Czech Republic, of which 34 were in Prague. A total of 1,358 people had been tested.

                The Czech Republic will ban entry to the country to all foreign nationals as well as ban its own citizens and permanent residents from travelling abroad to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus, Prime Minister Andrej Babis said.

                The restrictions are to take effect as of Monday.

                Special regulations and exemptions will apply to commuters who live or work 50 kilometres from the border with Germany and Austria, truck drivers and diplomats.
