    Human cases: 6589 notified cases with 4091 discarded, 1232 suspected, and 1266 confirmed cases with 415 YFV associated fatalities reported by Brazil MOH as of 19 May ; the number of discarded and confirmed cases as well as deaths increased compared to the previous week whereas the number of suspected cases decreased, indicating that laboratory testing is catching up. In Non-Human Primate (NHP), 7412 notified cases with 2458 discarded, 1695 suspected, 752 confirmed and 2458 "not determined" cases have reported by Brazil MOH as of 19 May, with numbers of confirmed cases increasing. As in the previous season, the southeast with Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo is the mostly affected area. Compared to the 2016-2017 YFV season, the number of suspected, confirmed cases and YFV associated fatalities is higher in the 2017-2018 when compared to EW 18/2017. The mortality rate varies between 16.7% and 100% (average:43%).
