    Human cases: 6525 notified cases with 3963 discarded, 1301 suspected, and 1261 confirmed cases with 409 YFV associated fatalities reported by Brazil MOH as of 09 May ; the number of discarded and confirmed cases as well as deaths increased compared to the previous week whereas the number of suspected cases decreased, indicating that laboratory testing is catching up. In Non-Human Primate (NHP), 7410 notified cases with 1903 discarded, 2225 suspected, 738 confirmed and 2544 "not determined" cases have reported by Brazil MOH as of 09 May, with numbers of confirmed cases increasing. As in the previous season, the southeast with Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo is the mostly affected area. Compared to the 2016-2017 YFV season, the number of suspected, confirmed cases and YFV associated fatalities is higher in the 2017-2018 when compared to EW 18/2017. The mortality rate varies between 16.7% and 100% (average:42.76%).
