Human cases: 1773 notified with 685 discarded, 424 suspected, and 545 confirmed cases with 164 YFV associated fatalities reported by Brazil MOH as of 21 February Non-Human Primate (NHP) cases: 4019 notified, 758 discarded, 1241 suspected, 522 confirmed and 1241 "not determined" cases reported by Brazil MOH as of 21 February. As in previous season, the southeast with Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo is the mostly affected area. Compared to the 2016-2017 YFV season, the number of confirmed cases and YFV associated fatalities is higher in the 2017-2018 when compared to EW 06/2017 although the number of suspected cases is lower in the 2017-2018. The mortality rate varies between 27.4% and 100% (average:49.2%).
