Esp?rito Santo enters state of attention for Fever of the Nile
Special Nucleus of Epidemiological Surveillance reported that horses were contaminated in April 2018, in the north of the state, and then died victims of the disease.
Esp?rito Santo recorded the first case of West Nile Fever in horses and is now in a state of attention for the possible contamination of humans, according to the Special Nucleus of Epidemiological Surveillance, which is linked to the State Department of Health (Sesa ).
The Nucleus reported that the horses were contaminated in April 2018, in the north of the state, and then died of the disease. Samples collected from the animals were analyzed by the Evandro Chagas Institute and the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). The result was positive for West Nile Fever.
