?Includes cases reported as meningitis, encephalitis, or acute flaccid paralysis.
?Presumptive viremic blood donors (PVDs) are people who had no symptoms at the time of donating blood through a blood collection agency, but whose blood tested positive when screened for the presence of West Nile virus. Some PVDs develop symptoms after donation.

There were 11 new WNV human cases reported in California this week from the following counties: Los Angeles (3), Riverside (1), San Bernardino (1), Stanislaus (3), Sutter (1), and Yolo (2). This is the first WNV human case from Sutter County this year.
6 WNV-related fatalities have been reported to CDPH this year from five local health jurisdictions: Butte (1), Glenn (1), Orange (1), Placer (1), Yolo (1), and Yuba (1) counties.
