    'Active tuberculosis' at George Bush HS, students to be tested

    FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas- Some students at George Bush High School will be tested for tuberculosis, health officials said.

    According to Fort Bend County Health an Human Services, they are conducting a routine public health investigation at the school, "as a result of active tuberculosis."...

    ROSENBERG, Texas - Several students at a Fort Bend I.S.D. high school have tested positive for tuberculosis, and there could still be more students who don?t know they have it.

    Hundreds of students were tested at George Bush High School in Rosenberg more than a week ago. Of those tests, six came back positive.

    Only some Bush High School students? parents were sent letters and emails earlier this month telling them their kids may have been exposed to someone who tested positive for TB. Only a fraction of the parents notified brought their kids in to be tested...

      Tuberculosis investigation continues at Bush High School

      Fort Bend County Health and Human Services is continuing the routine investigation into active tuberculosis (TB) at George Bush High School.

      The health department will conduct a second round of TB testing at the high school on Thursday, Aug. 3. All 647 students and 27 faculty who were previously notified that they may have been exposed are required to attend the testing on that date, unless already identified as positive during the first round of testing.

      Testing for infection will be conducted using a blood test. Information about the testing date was sent to those families who have a student needing to be tested. A second letter was sent to the rest of the families and faculty whom do not need to be tested...

        FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas -- A second round of testing on students and staff at George Bush High School in Fort Bend resulted in 10 new positive TV cases being identified, officials confirmed Wednesday.

        A previous mass screening in June led to 10 active cases being discovered, bringing the August total to 20 cases.
