    People possibly exposed to tuberculosis at Salinas court

    The Monterey County Health Department is seeking people who were at the Monterey County Superior Court in Salinas on certain dates last year when they may have been in contact with a person with active tuberculosis.

    Those who were in Courtrooms 11 and 8 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sept. 13 as well as between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 28 are recommended to be screened for tuberculosis. The county health department is offering screenings for free between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Feb. 7 and Feb. 9 as well as between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Feb. 12 at the Monterey County Health Department located at 1270 Natividad Road in Salinas.

    The Salinas courthouse is on Church Street in Salinas, and there is no risk of exposure for people who visited other courtrooms or areas of the courthouse on Sept. 13 and Oct. 28. There is also no risk of exposure for people who visited courtrooms 8 and 11 on other dates and times...
