MATHER -- An infectious disease rare in the United States made its way into the VA Medical Center Mather.
The VA alerted 800 employees and 600 patients by email and mail after a primary care employee and patient both tested positive for tuberculosis in unrelated cases in April.
Between August 1, 2015, and April 4, 2016, the patient could have potentially exposed five areas in the Mather facility to TB including the injection clinic, urology, radiology oncology, pulmonology and ophthalmology...
