Prince George, B.C. - An arrest warrant has been issued for a 53-year-old Prince George woman for failing to comply with an order to take medication for tuberculosis.

Northern Health's Chief Medical Health Officer, Dr. William Osei, was in court on Thursday when a warrant was issued for Freda Lynn Evans. Canada's Public Health Act gives medical health officers the authority to petition the courts for permission to detain and force patients of highly infectious diseases to accept treatment...
