In this health post, he said, the consultations carried out in recent days have shown an increase in the area of the number of people affected by the disease.
Based on this observation, Mbaye Thiam stressed the urgency of carrying out communication activities to encourage a change in behavior among the population.
To this end, he announced the imminent arrival of a mobile radio in Keur Samba Kane, through the National Tuberculosis Control Program (NTP) to co-opt contact cases and suspected cases of tuberculosis, in order to limit the spread of the disease in the constituency.
The head nurse of the Keur Samba Kane post also pleaded with the authorities and partners for the construction of one or two new health posts in the commune in order to improve the health care of the population. He also requested the strengthening of the technical and community staff of the health post.
In addition, Mbaye Thiam requested the strengthening of the rolling stock of the health center, in particular the provision of a second ambulance and a motorcycle, to facilitate the transfer of patients to the Bambey health center and advanced vaccination activities in remote villages.
