    Animals to receive Rift Valley fever vaccination

    Over 200,000 animals will be vaccinated in Naivasha and Gilgil to prevent transmission of Rift Valley fever.

    The move, by the Ministry of Livestock will see over 130,000 sheep and 80, 000 goats receive the vaccine starting next week.

    Naivasha District Veterinary Officer Peterson Njiru says that, the move is expected to curb the spread of the disease whose outbreak has been recorded in the area in the last few months.
