    Finally, Angola recorded its second case of cVDPV2 this year, in Kuvango district, Huila province, with symptom onset on May 30.

    Eleven cases of cVDPV2 were reported this week from Kwanza Sul (6), Huambo (3), Benguela (1), and Luanda (1) provinces. The onsets of paralysis were between 19 August and 25 September 2019. There is now a total of 29 cVDPV2 cases from seven outbreaks reported in 2019.

      Seven cases of cVDPV2 were reported this week from Luanda (4), Malange (1), Huambo (1), and Moxico (1) provinces. The onsets of paralysis were between 2 August and
      17 September 2019. There is now a total of 36 cVDPV2 cases from seven outbreaks reported in 2019. One cVDPV2 positive environmental sample was reported in Cazenga,
      Luanda province. The sample was collected on 10 September 2019.

        Over 40 cases of polio recorded in Angola

        Luanda - At least forty four cases of polio were reported this year in Angola, Health Minister S?lvia Lutucuta said on Friday at the opening of the First Round of Vaccination in the Monte Belo district of Cacuaco in Luanda.

        According to the official, the occurrences happended in the provinces of Bi?, Malanje and Lunda Sul (one case each), Moxico and Benguela (two), Hu?la (three), Lunda Norte (four), Luanda (six), Huambo (11 ) and Cuanza Sul (13).

        Silvia Lutucuta said that in order to control the outbreak, the Government, with the support of its national and international partners, decided to implement the house-to-house polio vaccination campaign for all children under five in affected and neighboring municipalities...

          Three new cases of cVDPV2 were reported this week from Huambo (1), Uige (1), and Moxico (1) provinces. The onsets of paralysis were between 23 September and 1 October 2019. There are now 41 cVDPV2 cases from seven outbreaks reported in 2019.

            Sixteen new cases of circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus type 2 (cVDPV2) were reported this week from Huambo (5), Cuanza Sul (4), Moxico (2), Malanje (2), Benguela (1), Luanda (1), and Huila (1) provinces. The onsets of paralysis were between 24 August and 16 October 2019. There are 60 cVDPV2 cases from seven outbreaks reported in 2019. Four cVDPV2 positive environmental samples were reported; two each from Benguela and Luanda provinces. The samples were collected between 9 September and 4 November 2019

The onsets of paralysis were between 10 September and 18 October 2019. There are 71 cVDPV2 cases from seven outbreaks reported in 2019. Two cVDPV2 positive environmental samples were reported from Luanda and Benguela provinces. The samples were collected on 25 October 2019.
