Dr. Rosario Trifiletti on "Kids First"

Dr. Rosario Trifiletti and parent Maggie Glynn are interviewed by ?Kids First?? Dr. Rosalie Greenberg, M.D. in two new videos about PANDAS.

The first video, PANDAS 1, discusses an overview of the disorder and a parent?s perspective.

The second video, PANDAS 2, discusses the controversies surrounding the disorder and further in depth explanation of the autoimmune disorder. In this video, Dr. Trifiletti estimates 1-2% of children have PANDAS.
    Background on the show participants:
In this two part episode of Kids First, Dr. Greenberg speaks with Rosario Trifiletti, M.D., Ph.D, a pediatric neurologist whose practice in Ramsey, New Jersey focuses mainly on treating children with the disorder. ?P.A.N.D.A.S. should be considered when a child presents with a sudden, acute and debilitating onset of intense anxiety and mood lability, accompanied by obsessive compulsive-like tendencies and/or tics, in conjunction with specific infections.? explains Dr. Trifiletti. Dr. Greenberg adds, ?This illness presents itself rapidly with confusing symptoms among which are neurological, physical and psychiatric in nature.?

Maggie Glynn, a mother of a child with P.A.N.D.A.S. offers her painful journey to find answers for her son.
