    21 cases declared since January 1, 2024 spread over 10 municipalities (southern province: 4 cases, northern province: 17 cases, island province: 0).

    20 people were hospitalized (95%), including 7 in the intensive care unit (35%).

    In 2023, 152 cases of leptospirosis were reported. Among them, 130 people (85%) were hospitalized and 4 deaths were recorded (2.6%).



    In 2022, 265 cases of leptospirosis were reported. Among them, 227 people (85.6%) were hospitalized and 4 deaths were recorded (1.1%).
