    CAIRO ? 21 November 2018:Minister of Health and Population HalaZayed said that the tests carried out as part of Egypt?s national campaign?s first stage revealed that 4.5 percent of the examined citizens tested positive for Hepatitis C.

    This came during the minister?s visit to Fayoum governorate, which is one of the ninegovernorates included in the first stage. The campaign dubbed ?100 million Health? comes as part of Egypt?s aspiration to end Hepatitis C in Egypt by 2020.

    Zayed said that citizens are aware of the situation. She stressed that Hepatitis C, diabetes and obesity accounted for 70 percentof the causes of death in Egypt...

    CAIRO - 15 December 2018: On the sidelines of the inauguration of housing projects and water plants on Saturday by President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed displayed the results of screening for hepatitis C and chronic diseases.

    The minister added that citizens aged between 26 and 35 compose 60 percent of citizens who did the check-ups. The total number of citizens screened is 17,537, 323 with women composing the bigger portion of the turnout. The total number of citizens diagnosed with hepatitis C is 732, 732 and they started to receive treatment...
