    ADH warns of possible Hepatitis A exposure in Walnut Ridge

    WALNUT RIDGE (KATV) ? The Arkansas Department of Health is warning the public about a possible Hepatitis A exposure at a gas station in Walnut Ridge.

    The ADH says an employee of the Doublebee's gas station located in the 1003 bock of Highway 63 in Walnut Ridge tested positive for the virus.

    The department says anyone who ate at this facility between April 7 and April 18, 2018 should seek care if they have never been vaccinated.

    The Lawrence County Local Health Unit in Walnut Ridge will hold a walk-in clinic to provide vaccinations from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25.

    The Health Unit is located at 1050 W Free St.

    In 2018, 13 cases of Hep A have been reported in this outbreak. Five of the 13 cases have included food service workers...

    JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) ? Medical personnel in northeast Arkansas have vaccinated more than 230 people for hepatitis after the state's warning that a local restaurant employee tested positive for the virus.

    The Jonesboro Sun reports that 235 people received vaccinations at the Craighead County Local Health Unit by Thursday. The unit will also hold walk-in vaccinations Friday for free...

      Health officials say anyone who ate at a northeast Arkansas Little Caesar's Pizza should get a hepatitis A vaccination after an employee tested positive for the disease.

      The Arkansas Department of Health said Tuesday that anyone who visited the Little Caesar's in Paragould between July 19 and Aug. 2 should seek vaccination and are encouraging all Greene County residents ages 19 to 60 get vaccinated. The department will have free vaccination clinics during the next two weeks...

        FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - A day after warning Paragould residents in northeast Arkansas about a possible hepatitis A exposure, Arkansas health officials are warning residents of a western Arkansas city after a restaurant employee there tested positive for the virus.

        The Department of Health said Wednesday that anyone who ate at Red Lobster in Fort Smith between July 19 and Aug. 4 should immediately get vaccinated. Officials say they are planning vaccination clinics in Sebastian County, though they have not yet released the dates...

          PARAGOULD, Ark. (KATV) ? The Hepatitis A outbreak in northeast Arkansas continues with the latest case discovered at a Paragould restaurant.

          The Arkansas Department of Health says the possible hep A exposure was at the Ironhorse Barbeque after an employee tested positive for the virus. Anyone who ate at the restaurant from July 25 to August 10 should get a vaccination...

              Health Department Issues Hepatitis A Warnings For Another NE Arkansas Restaurant

              JONESBORO (KFSM) ? The Arkansas Department of Health warned of yet another outbreak Thursday of Hepatitis A stemming from a restaurant in Northeast Arkansas.

              The ADH warned of a possible exposure after an employee at Pizza Inn on Southwest Drive in Jonesboro tested positive for the virus.

              The health department said anyone who ate at the restaurant between Sept. 4 and Sept. 17 should be vaccinated immediately if they?ve never received a hep A vaccination or if they were unsure of their status. There is no specific treatment for Hepatitis A, but illness can be prevented if the person is vaccinated within two weeks of exposure...

              ...The warnings come after 130 cases of hepatitis A have been reported in Northeast Arkansas, resulting in one death. Cases have been reported in Greene, Clay, Craighead, Independence, Lawrence, Lee, Mississippi, Monroe, Phillips, Poinsett and Randolph counties.

                ...Health Department spokeswoman Meg Mirivel said Wednesday that an employee of Murdocks Catfish in Jonesboro tested positive for the disease. Mirivel says anyone who ate at the restaurant between Sept. 27 and Oct. 5 should seek vaccination.

                Northeastern Arkansas has seen 158 hepatitis A cases, including one death, since February in an unusually severe outbreak which has largely hit Greene County...

                  Little Rock -- Patrons who ate at Arkansas State University and the Jonesboro Salvation Army are being warned against possible hepatitis A exposure.

                  An employee at the Arkansas State University Reng Student Center Cafeteria and a volunteer at the Salvation Army at 800 Cate Ave. in Jonesboro tested positive for the virus, according to a press release from the Arkansas Department of Health.
