State Says Hepatitis A Outbreak Slowing
By Barbara Brosher • 13 hours ago

The state says the spread of Hepatitis A is slowing down, but it’s still seeing new cases associated with the outbreak.

The state started investigating an uptick in cases last November. More than 770 Hoosiers have been diagnosed with the highly contagious liver infection over the past year.

Data from the Indiana State Department of Health shows the number of new Hepatitis A cases started a downward trend last month.

MARION COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) — Marion County is now dealing with yet another Hepatitis A concern.

This time, it's at the Marion County Jail and the Sheriff's Department has to deep clean the entire facility after an inmate tested positive for the virus.

This is the second report of Hepatitis A in Marion County in just a week.

Last week, an employee at a south side Burger King tested positive for the virus...

MUNCIE, Ind. – A statewide hepatitis A outbreak has made its way into the Delaware County jail.

Delaware County Sheriff Tony Skinner said Thursday his office and the county’s health department had coordinated a “quick response” to the outbreak detected this month.
