    The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health did not receive any reports of influenza-like illness (ILI) outbreaks in schools during the 24 hours ending at noon today (September 8).

    A report about a hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) outbreak involving three persons in a school was received during the same period.

    The above brought to two and eight respectively the cumulative totals of ILI and HFMD outbreak reports since the start of the new school term in September.

    Schools should refer to the guidelines on prevention of communicable diseases for practical information on how to prevent common communicable diseases.
