Queensland dad in coma after Bali mosquito bite

A Queensland hairdresser has been left fighting for his life after contracting a virus caused by a mosquito bite in Bali.
Dez Ginns, from Mooloolaba, last week spent his 60th birthday in a coma at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
After returning from Bali, Mr Ginns fell suddenly ill and was rushed to the hospital where he was placed in an induced coma.
The "larger than life" hairdresser, who is the father of 2014 Big Brother winner Ryan Ginns, was diagnosed with Japanese Encephalitis.
As the viral infection is so rare in Australia, doctors believe the most likely source was a mosquito bite during his trip to Bali.
The virus led to life-threatening swelling on Mr Ginn's brain, as well as meningitis and pneumonia...
