Michigan resident hospitalized with Eastern equine encephalitis

An Allegan County resident has an infection of Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE), Health officials from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and Allegan County Health Department have confirmed.
The individual was hospitalized in late August with a neurologic illness, according to a MDHHS news release.
