    Fayette County is mourning the loss of a young boy who died from an illness believed to be caused by a mosquito bite. Health officials say that 11 year old, Sammy Burdette, of Fayette County was taken off of life support on Thursday morning after suffering from Encephalitis. Health experts said this could have been caused by a mosquito carrying the LaCrosse Encephalitis virus...

    Fayette County's health officer said La Crosse encephalitis was not responsible for the recent death of a child.

    ?We, at this point, don't really know why he died,? said Dr. Donald Newell, D.O. although officials do know it was not La Cross. "He did not have any arboviruses, which are carried by mosquitoes. He did not have any bacterial meningitis like meningococcal encephalitis.

    ?We do know that he had an enterovirus and a rhinovirus. Those are very common viruses that usually don't cause a problem. We're not entirely sure" why the boy died...
