Mid West areas reeling under encephalitis

Anju Chaudhary of Dhadhawar in the district, who was admitted to Bheri Zonal Hospital for the treatment of Japanese Encephalitis, was discharged on Wednesday.
While the treatment saved her life, the disease has left her right hand and leg paralysed. Anju was taken to the hospital with high fever.

Out of 30 children admitted to the hospital so far this year, one child from Bardiya died, while six were discharged. The hospital administration said the remaining patients are undergoing treatment.
