Barahona indicated that the Central American country registers an average of 800 cases of dengue per week, most of them of the classic type, and four deaths from the severe type.

Tegucigalpa, Jul 26 (EFE) .- Honduras adds four deaths from dengue and 12,139 people infected with the same disease, reported this Tuesday the interim coordinator of chronic non-communicable diseases of the Ministry of Health, Aron Bueso.
The official told journalists that of the 12,139 infected cases, 11,905 are classic dengue or without warning signs, and 234 are severe or hemorrhagic, to which four deaths confirmed through laboratory results are added.
He added that the health authorities are analyzing the causes of death of another person who presented the same symptoms of dengue, a disease that can be fatal in its hemorrhagic form.
It is a 26-year-old woman who died at the Hospital Escuela in the Honduran capital, Bueso said.
