Honduras registers at least 3,343 cases of dengue so far in 2021

Tegucigalpa, May 29 (EFE) .- Honduras registers at least 3,143 cases of dengue so far in 2021, of which 139 are serious, an official source in Tegucigalpa reported this Saturday.
Of the total of cases, without any deceased, the majority present "some alarm sign", indicated the coordinator of Communicable and non-communicable Diseases of the Ministry of Health, Homer Mejía.
He added that the last seven cases were registered in cities in the departments of Cortés and Yoro, in the north of the country, and Santa Bárbara, in the west.
Another 200 new recent cases correspond to Tegucigalpa, the capital of the Central American country, located in the department of Francisco Morazán (center), which, with 1,533, is the one with the most illnesses nationwide.
Other departments with a high incidence of dengue are Comayagua and Olancho, in the center and east of the country.
