In Colombia there have been 82 probable deaths from dengue

Health authorities confirmed that another 40 deaths are under study.

The National Institute of Health (INS) revealed that this year 82 probable deaths from dengue fever have occurred in the country, in different regions nationwide.
According to this entity, in the epidemiological bulletin 18 cases registered in Cali, Cesar, Huila, Santander, Tolima and Valle del Cauca were confirmed.
Likewise, new cases were reported in the departments of Atl?ntico, Caldas, Cartagena, Cundinamarca, Meta and Norte de Santander.

According to the National Institute of Health (INS), 24 cases have been ruled out so far, and 40 deaths from: Cali with 9 cases; Valle del Cauca with 6 cases; Caquet? and C?rdoba with 3 cases each; Atl?ntico, Cundinamarca, Huila and Santander with 2 cases each and Antioquia, Boyac?, Buenaventura, Caldas, Cauca, Cesar, Guain?a, Magdalena, Norte de Santander, Santa Marta and Tolima, with 1 case each.
In epidemiological week 14 of the year, 1,465 probable cases of dengue were reported. In the surveillance system, 42,830 cases have been reported nationwide, of which 19,698 (46.0%) have occurred without warning signs, 22,650 (52 , 9%) with warning signs and 482 (1.1%) of severe dengue.
The epidemiological bulletin revealed that 57.1% (24,201) of dengue cases were reported in 29 municipalities, most frequently in Cali with 17.1% (7,236); Palmira with 6.0% (2,525); I went with 4.5% (1,891); Tulu? with 2.8% (1,183); Valledupar (809), Barranquilla (799) and Neiva with 1.9% (792) each; Villavicencio with 1.7% (735); Buga, with 1.6% (685); Great egret with 1.5% (635); Pitalito (569), Cartago (543) and Candelaria (535), with 1.3% each.
The INS assured that 51.6% (22,081) of the cases are male, and of them 45.9% (19,641 people) belong to the subsidized regime and 3.5% (1,498) refer to non-affiliation.
Meanwhile, 12.5% (5,332) of dengue cases and 16.6% (80) of severe dengue occurred in children under 5 years of age.
Finally, the evaluation in the country revealed that 76.6% (17,353) of dengue cases with alarm signs were hospitalized, while the reporting entities that hospitalized less than 60.0% of these cases were Caquet?, Bol?var , Buenaventura, Cauca, Quind?o and Choc?.
