    KARACHI: At least 35 new dengue fever cases surfaced in Karachi last week, taking the reported cases to 71 since January 1, 2019.

      25 new dengue fever cases emerge in Karachi

      ...As per weekly report issued by the Prevention and Control Program for Dengue in Sindh, at least 25 new dengue fever cases were reported throughout Karachi city in a week.

      In February, a total of 89 dengue positive cases emerged across Sindh province out of which 88 happened in Karachi and one in another district.

      A total of 232 dengue cases were detected in Sindh province so far out of which 227 were in Karachi and five in other districts...

          KECH (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 24th March, 2019) Dengue outbreak has widened in Kech district of Balochistan as more than 150 cases have been reported in the area from January.According to the District Health Officer (DHO) Turbat, at least 150 cases of the dengue fever have been reported so far from January, while three of the patients had lost their lives.

          "The dengue cases are being reported on the daily basis in the area", the DHO said.The DHO further added that efforts were underway to control over the increasing dengue virus in the Kech district.Dengue fever is a viral disease transmitted by mosquitoes...

            285 new cases of dengue reported in Turbat

            QUETTA: The Balochistan government has apparently failed to control the spread of dengue virus as 285 new cases emerged in Turbat city of the province in last two weeks.

            According to District Health Officer (DHO), overall 528 cases have been reported in the last 3.5 months.

            The situation could be worsened after a new spell of rain in many parts of Balochistan, which increases the outbreak of the mosquito-borne single positive-stranded RNA virus.

            On March 24, dengue outbreak had reportedly widened in Kech district of Balochistan as more than 150 cases have been reported in the area from January.

            According to DHO Turbat, at least 150 cases of the dengue fever were reported since January in Kech...

              KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2019 ) Manager, Prevention and Control of Dengue Programme, Sindh Health Department, Dr. Abdul Rashid on Monday said that as many as 395 cases of dengue were reported during the current year in four districts of Karachi including East, Central, South and Korangi.

              Dr. Abdul Rashid who would retire from service on April 30 (Tuesday), addressing a press briefing said that 395 cases had been reported so far from all over Sindh with one death.

              He said that four districts of Karachi reported major chunk of cases and those were East (56), Central (48), South (43) and Korangi (19)...

                        Health dept issues new SoPs as dengue cases rise

                        The number of dengue patients has increased to 22 in Punjab including Rawalpindi, prompting city administration to issue new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for complete control of dengue.

                        Under the new SOP, 100 basic health units will daily check five patients suspected of having dengue virus, while each of the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital, District Headquarter Hospital, dispensaries and the government hospitals will diagnose 10 patients per day...

                          RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2019 ) :Around 1000 dengue fever suspects have so far been brought to the allied hospitals of the city ,out of which 8 cases were positive who were provided the required treatment.

                          Incharge Anti-dengue campaign Municipal corporation area Dr Zeeshan told APP that maximum arrangements for the treatment of dengue fever patients had been made; besides all possible preventive measures were in place to meet any eventuality.

                          He said a full-scale fumigation drive was underway in different localities of the city especially from where dengue patients were being reported...

                            14 patients test positive for dengue

                            Islamabad : As many as 14 patients have so far been confirmed positive for dengue fever from rural areas of the federal capital this month and alarming is the fact that 12 of them are residents of Union Council Rawat.

                            It is important that the first two confirmed cases of dengue fever this year were also reported from Rawat in the first week of July while the District Health Office Islamabad had already started field activities in the rural areas for prevention of the infection.

                            Data collected by ?The News? on Saturday has revealed that in last two weeks, a total of nine confirmed cases of dengue fever have been reported from Rawat while one each from union councils Tarlai and Tarnol...

                              KARACHI: A total of 1,239 dengue fever cases, including six deaths, were reported all over Sindh during the last eight months.

                              These figures were given in a report submitted by Health Secretary Saeed Awan to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah today.

                              It said some 1,239 cases of dengue fever were registered all over Sindh from January 20 to August 20, which included six deaths from the viral infection...
