BELLEVILLE, Ont. - A Picton, Ontario, woman wants answers after her mother entered Belleville General Hospital May 8 for physical rehabilitation and died 21 days later of a bacterial infection.
Mary "Marie" Kavanagh, 86, of Picton died early Thursday.
Her daughter, Carol Stuart, said her mother died of an infection of clostridium difficile bacteria.
Quinte Health Care officials say five patients at the hospital have been affected by an outbreak of the bacterium and four remain in hospital. They declared the outbreak May 27...
