    Zimbabwe Failing On Cholera, 5 More People Die

    FIVE people who are members of the Johane Marange apostolic sect have died from a suspected fresh cholera outbreak in Mavhurume village in Murewa.

    Murewa district administrator Gumburayi Wadzvanya wrote to the provincial administrator Tarubarira Kutamahufa, confirming the suspected cholera cases.

      Cholera Strikes Again, As Shamva Records Two New Cases

      Two new cholera cases have been recorded in Shamva mining area recently.

      The two patients were however treated and discharged.

      The first cholera case was recorded at Mhondoro mining area. The second case was recorded on Thursday last week.

      Shamva district medical officer, Tendayi Kamuriwo confirmed the two cholera cases but said the government was on top of the situation...

        Cholera Kills Sixty Nine People In 4 Months

        The Ministry of Health has issued a statement suggesting that sixty-nine people have died nationwide due to cholera this year. On a positive note, Bulawayo is reported to have recorded zero casualties.

        The statement further notes that more than 10 400 cases of the disease were reported during the period January to April. Resultantly, the Ministry of Health embarked on a nationwide cholera vaccine programme targeting over one million people. The ministry said...
