    SEVEN CONFIRMED DEAD IN LIBOI DUE TO CHOLERA OUTBREAK

    The government has dispatched medical officers to Liboi along the Kenya-Somalia border where a Cholera outbreak has killed 11 Kenyans and an estimated 20 Somalis in villages along the border in the neighboring country. The outbreak has been reported in three locations including Danajale, Amu and Hamey locations. Meanwhile Sahal Hassan from the Red Cross says patients are undergoing treatment at Centers set up by the the Red Cross in the area.

    The government has dispatched medical officers to Liboi along the Kenya-Somalia border where a Cholera outbreak has killed 11 Kenyans and an estimated 20 Somalis in villages in the neighboring country. Medical Officer in the area Daniel Lagat says extra medical officers have now been deployed in the area to help fight the spread of the disease which started in villages in Somalia before spreading into Kenya.
