    HSE investigating two confirmed cases of measles in Ireland

    The HSE is investigating two confirmed cases of measles in the north of Dublin city.

    A spokeswoman said an outbreak control team has been convened to investigate and control the spread of ? this potentially serious illness.?

    The source of the measles has not yet been identified.

    An alert has been sent to all hospital emergency departments and GPs in Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow.

    ?All people identified as contacts of the two measles cases are being notified and advised of the risk by public health.?

    Measles have been virtually eradicated in Ireland...

    HSE warns parents as more cases of measles are identified

    Departments of Public Health Medicine have confirmed 5 cases of measles in east of the country.

    Outbreak Control Teams have been convened to investigate and control the spread of this serious illness. The source of measles has not yet been identified. An alert has been sent to all Emergency Departments, Paediatricians and General Practitioners (GPs) in the country, and the Microbiology labs, to raise their awareness of this very infectious disease. All people identified as contacts of the measles cases are being notified and advised of the risks.

    None of the reported cases have had the MMR vaccine...
