Winter will increase diseases like dengue and cholera, the government asked to take preventive measures

For rainfall increases risk of spreading diseases such as cholera and dengue, calls on public health network and ready to take drastic measures to avoid this problem add to the tragedy being experienced winter across the country.
The national government has asked all public health network to take appropriate measures to reduce the risk of spreading diseases such as cholera and dengue, as stated on Monday the Secretary of Health of the Colombian department of Cundinamarca, Zoraya Lopez.
Lopez has said that the situation has been aggravated by the lack of potable water in areas most affected by the rainy season. "It is essential to adopt national rules and call the authorities and communities for prevention efforts and prevent disease in the affected areas, " he said.
For this reason it has brought forward the date of vaccination for free athospitals in Colombia in order to prevent respiratory diseases also , according to the station RCN.
