سجلت محافظة سوهاج اليوم، الخميس، أول حالة إصابة بمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير هذا العام عقب وصول أحد المواطنين بسيارة إسعاف من مستشفى الحميات عقب ظهور الأعراض عليه، تم إعطاء المصاب عقار التايمفلو، وتم إرسال عينة إلى المعامل المركزية بالقاهرة التى أكدت إيجابية إصابة الحالة، لتصبح أول حالة إصابة بالفيروس هذا العام بسوهاج. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Sohag, the Hospital Sohag General had detained people in the fifth decade of life called "Abdullah Hassan Abdullah" (55 years), and a resident of the village of "Umrah" Service Center Sohag, samples were taken and swabs from the the patient and sent to the laboratories of Cairo, which confirmed the injury. وتوجه فريق من الصحة إلى منزل المصاب، وتم الكشف على جميع أفراد المنزل وعمل التحصينات اللازمة ورش وتطهير المنزل.
