شهدت محافظة المنوفية وفاة الحالة التاسعة بمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير، وهى لمتطوع بالقوات المسلحة ويدعى عصام محمد مصطفى 42 سنة من قرية سروهيت مركز منوف. وأكد مصدر مسئول بمديرية الصحة بالمنوفية، أن الحالة المتوفاة كان قد تم احتجازها بمستشفى حميات منوف منذ 3 أيام على إثر ظهور أعراض المرض عليها من ارتفاع فى درجة الحرارة وآلام بالمفاصل، مضيفاً أن المتوفى كان يعانى من تضخم بالكبد والطحال، وتم أخذ عينات من أقارب الحالة المتوفى لتحليلها وبيان عما إذا كانوا قد أصيبوا بالمرض من عدمه وتطهير منزله بالمطهرات. أكد عطا، أنه تم أخذ عينات من المخالطين لهم وإرسالها إلى المعامل المركزية بالوزارة للتأكد من مدى الإصابة، وتم وإعطاؤهم العلاج المناسب، مضيفاً أنه تم احتجاز 6 حالات أخرى للاشتباه فى إصابتهم بالمرض بمستشفى حميات منوف بعد شعورهم بالألم المرض وتم أخذ عينات منهم لتحليلها. Atta confirmed that it had been taking samples from contacts and send them to central laboratories in the ministry to ascertain the extent of injury, and was given proper treatment, adding that he was detained 6 other cases of suspected illness Menouf Fever Hospital after feeling pain syndrome and sampling them for analysis.
وفى الإسكندرية أعلنت غرفة المتابعة لمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير عن ظهور 4 حالات جديدة بمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير، وهم سيدة 22 عام بالأنفوشى حى الجمرك وهى حامل فى الشهر السابع وتم احتجازها فى مستشفى رأس التين العام وسائق 47 عاماً بالقرية الرابعة الناصرية حى شرق وموظف بهيئة البريد 34 عاماً بالعصافرة المنتزه، وتلك الحالات تم احتجازها بمستشفى الحميات تحت العلاج، وطبيب امتياز 25 عاماً فلمنج حى شرق وقد تم احتجازه بالمستشفى الرئيسى الجامعى تحت العلاج.
