100 million euro to combat bird flu

Nine international donors have decided to offer Egypt 100 million euros to carry out bird-flu combat plan.
The five-year plan aims to tighten control on the disease.
Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Amin Abaza said in press statements the strategy aims to curb the spread of the disease and to limit its danger to lives and industry.
Head of the Egyptian Veterinary Services Authority, Dr. Mohamed Moustafa el-Garhi, said the USAID UNICEF and some other organizations are among the donors which offered the sum.
