There is a human H5N1 sample (A/Egypt/N08835/2009(H5N1)) processed in Egypt by NAMRU last year that can not be associated with any WHO confirmed case. see below.

    (A/Egypt/N08835/2009(H5N1))

This sample was collected on August 1, 2009 is reported from a female less than one year old located in Al Minufiyah Governorate. It can not be associated with case #83 because the individual clearly was a male, and sample A/Egypt/N07908/2009 was collected from this child on July 30, 2009.
    <o:p> </o:p>
It can not be associated with case #84 because the collection date is before the onset date for the 1.8 year old female from Al Minufiyah Governorate (unless of course there was a lab error).
