Ministry of Environment is preparing to organize an international conference in February this year to develop a unified plan to control avian influenza and the application of the strategic plan to combat the disease, will attend the conference, which has not been set schedule, after representatives of the United Nations and international organizations, donors and non-governmental organizations that had expressed willingness to provide substantive and organizational support and implement a plan of 3 to 5 years to combat and prevent avian influenza FERCE mating with the swine flu.

The Ministry of Environment has prepared for this conference convening the meeting of the National Committee to combat the spread of influenza, headed by Engineer Maged George, Minister of Environment, and the presence of the Minister of Local Development and representatives from the ministries of health, agriculture and governors Qaliubiya, Cairo, 6 October, Beni Suef, Dakahlia, western and Menoufia, Fayoum and Giza, as well as representatives of some international organizations and non-governmental actors .

The meeting included a presentation of the report of international organizations for the joint evaluation of the organizations of the United Nations efforts against bird flu in Egypt and view the actions of line ministries during the previous period since the beginning of winter and the energy supply capacity of the massacres and the volume of production and hints for the program of epidemiological study of the disease with regard to animal health component.

أكد أمين أباظة وزير الزراعة واستصلاح الأراضى أنه سيتم منع تجارة الطيور الحية واستبدالها بالطيور المذبوحة والمجمدة نهائيا بحلول يوليو المقبل. جاء ذلك فى الكلمة التى ألقاها نيابة عنه د.سعد نصار مستشار وزير الزراعة واستصلاح الأراضى فى الجلسة الافتتاحية للمؤتمر الدولى الذى أقيم اليوم الخميس، بالقاهرة لمراجعة إستراتيجية الخطة القومية لمكافحة مرض أنفلونزا الطيور، ونظمته اللجنة العليا لمكافحة أنفلونزا الطيور بالتعاون مع وزارة الزراعة واستصلاح الأراضى، بالاشتراك مع منظمة الأغذية والزراعة الفاو. وأضاف إن الإستراتيجية القومية لمكافحة المرض تستهدف تحصين الدواجن واستئصال المرض ومنع التربية المنزلية نهائيا بالمدن والقرى والتوسع فى إقامة المجازر والثلاجات، موضحا أن الإستراتيجية تتضمن أيضا مطالبة المزارع غير المرخصة بالتقدم للترخيص وترخيص تلك المزارع المستوفاة لشروط البعد الوقائى والأمان الحيوى مع التجديد للمزارع المرخصة والمستوفاة لشروط البعد الوقائى والأمان الحيوى، وبشرط انضمامها لعضوية الاتحاد العام لمنتجى الدواجن، مع السماح للمزارع غير المستوفاة للشروط بتغير النشاط وإعطائها أولوية عند تخصيص أراضى فى الظهير الصحراوى ضمن المخطط العام لصناعة الدواجن وتعويض أصحاب المزارع المصابة فى حالة التبليغ عن الإصابات بمزارعهم. وشدد على أهمية قطاع الإنتاج الداجنى كمصدر للبروتين الحيوانى الرخيص للفئات محدودة الدخل، حيث تبلغ قيمة الاستثمارات به حوالى 20 مليار جنيه ويعمل به حوالى 1.5 مليون عامل، ويبلغ الإنتاج اليومى من الدواجن محليا نحو 2 مليون طائر، مؤكدا أنه قد تحقق نجاحا إلى درجة كبيرة فى زيادة الإنتاج وفى انحسار حالات الإصابة فى المزارع، لافتا إلى أن المشاكل التى تواجهنا تكمن فى عملية التربية المنزلية فى القرى وفى عملية التمويل وفى غياب عملية الوعى والتوعية لدى المواطنين. He stressed the importance of poultry production sector as a source of cheap animal protein to low-income countries, where investments worth about 20 billion pounds, with about 1.5 million workers, and the daily production of domestic poultry around 2 million birds, adding that there has been successful to a great extent in increase production and decline in incidence in the farms, pointing out that the problems that we face is in the process of home education in villages and in the process of funding and lack of process awareness and education among the citizens.

أكد المستشار عدلى حسين، محافظ القليوبية، أن تحديث قطاع صناعة الدواجن فى مصر يحتاج إلى خطة جريئة من جانب الدولة، والتأخر فى هذا التحديث سيزيد من مشاكله، لافتاً إلى أنه تقدم بدراسة تفصيلية إلى وزارة الزراعة منذ سنوات تساعد على إعادة هيكلة هذا القطاع، لم ينفذ منها شىء حتى الآن. وأضاف: ?جميع المزارع الموجودة فى مصر سواء المرخصة أو غير المرخصة ليست نموذجية ولا تتوافر فيها الشروط اللازمة للتربية، فضلاً عن وجود أعطال كثيرة فى المجازر المستخدمة لذبح الدواجن بما فيها مجزر الشرق الأوسط الموجود بمحافظة القليوبية، والذى يعد أكبر مجزر فى مصر?. ناقشت أمس ورشة عمل استراتيجية مكون الصحة الحيوانية في الخطة القومية لمكافحة انفلونزا الطيور تحت رعاية اللجنة القومية للمكافحة برئاسة ماجد جورج وزير البيئة بالتعاون مع وزارة الزراعة ومنظمة الفاو. أكدت الورشة علي أهمية الرصد المبكر للفيروس ورفع الوعي العام للمواطنين حول سبل الوقاية والمكافحة للمرض وتأهيل الكوادر البشرية المدربة علي أعمال الرصد والمكافحة والسيطرة علي المرض. The workshop emphasized the importance of early detection of the virus and raise public awareness of citizens on the prevention and control of the disease and the rehabilitation of cadres trained on monitoring, control and control of the disease.
