Slightly difficult to follow, but I take it Kafr el-Sheikh had previously eight confirmed cases over the years, and now increased by two (#101 and #102) to a total of ten. One has died and one has recovered, but where are the other 8?

Monufia is more confusing. If the total number of positive cases is 12, and two have died, and none recovered, where are the other 10 cases?

Or do cases recovered get removed from the "recovered" total after some period of time?

not hard to follow you got it all correct. many of these cases show up under Cairo for treatment then the death and recovery are accounted for under the Cairo Governorate in most cases.

Cairo only really has four total positive cases which belong to the Cairo governorate based on the persons documented place of residence. but they show 16 deaths and 53 cases of recovery with two undergoing treatment.

the positive case numbers you mention are listed under another column which is based on the persons documented place of residence. which normally corresponds with the initial location for discovery of the case. with many of the cases being transported for treatment to abbassia hospital in cairo as its adjacent to the namru3 facility.

yes it is hard to follow and what makes it a real pain is they often report multiple days together which can make it a real guessing game

So they are not actually "removing" cases from the recovered total - those cases are being transferred out of the area alive and dying or recovering elsewhere. So the recovered category only gets those that actually recover in that area. That is weird.

yes it is a bit odd...but that is the way it looks. they do not remove cases.
