بدأت أجهزة وزارة الزراعة أول عملية للتقصى النشط لمرض أنفلونزا الماعز، للتأكد من عدم وصوله إلى مصر، وذلك من خلال عمليات مسح واسعة لأسواق بيع الحيوانات، وأخذ عينات منها لضمان سلامتها من المرض، كما بدأ معهد بحوث صحة الحيوان أخذ عينات من إحدى مزارع الأغنام والماشية بمحافظة الإسماعيلية لتحليلها، وأكدت نتائج الاختبارات خلوها من المرض.
