    In searching Influenza Virus Traceability Mechanism (WHO) it revealed (a new) strain designation A/Egypt/N00944/2011 (CDC ID# 2012705829) in original shipment reports!

    Comment:
    The case epi was mentioned but without strain desgnation in "Younan M, Poh MK, Elassal E, Davis T, Rivailler P, Balish AL, et al. Microevolution of highly pathogenic avian influenza A(H5N1) viruses isolated from humans, Egypt, 200 ?2011. Emerg Infect Dis. 2013 Jan."
