يعقد اجتماع طارئ للصحة العالمية غدا، يضم دول أقاليم شرق المتوسط سيستعرض وضع الضوابط الوقائية الخاصة بإغلاق الفصول أو المدارس أو تعليق الدراسة فى حال إصابة أحد الطلبة بالفيروس ، موضحا أن الاجتماع سيضم استشاريين ومتخصصين بالأوبئة والصحة الوقائية من قبل خبراء ومستشارين منظمة الصحة العالمية، وأكد أن وزارة الصحة الكويتية كانت السباقة فى تنفيذ الإجراءات الوقائية والاحترازية لقرب بدء العام الدراسى عبر التوصيات الصحية والوقائية التى قدمت لوزارة التربية.

وقال وكيل وزارة الصحة الكويتية الدكتور إبراهيم العبدالهادى، إن الوزارة تقوم بالاتصال المباشر مع خبراء منظمة الصحة العالمية يوما بيوم، وقد تم استقدام خبراء ومستشارى المنظمة المختصين بالصحة الوقائية بعد كل جديد يختص بفيروس أنفلونزا الخنازير، مشيرا إلى أن الصحة الكويتية ترصد عن كثب كل ما يستجد على الساحة العالمية لمواجهة الفيروس.

وكانت المنظمة قد خرجت عن صمتها مؤخرا بعد تحذيرها فى مذكرتها الإعلامية العاشرة من أن المدارس لها دور فى زيادة انتشار الفيروس الجائح داخل مبانيها وفى عموم المجتمع المحلى على حد سواء، مشيرة إلى أنه لا يوجد أى تدبير بإمكانه وقف سريان العدوى فى المدارس أو الحد منها مما يتيح للفيروس فرصا متعددة للانتشار.

The organization had recently broken the silence after the warning in the tenth note information that schools have a role in the further spread of HIV pandemic within buildings and across the local community alike, noting that no measure can stop the entry into force of infection in schools or to reduce them, which provides multiple opportunities for the virus to spread.

وأشارت المنظمة، فى مذكرتها الإعلامية العاشرة بشأن الإرشادات والتدابير التى يمكن اتخاذها فى المدارس للحد من أثر أنفلونزا الخنازير، إلى إمكانية غلق المدارس مباشرة كتدبير استباق يرمى إلى الحد من انتشار المرض فى مبانى المدارس، ومن ثم نقل الفيروس إلى المجتمع المحلى بشكل عام، مؤكدة أنه يمكن أن يكون إغلاق المدارس من تدابير الاستجابة عندما يتم غلق تلك المبانى أو تعليق الدراسة بسبب ارتفاع مستويات تغيب الطلاب والعاملين إلى درجة يتعذر فيها مواصلة إعطاء الدروس.

وأوضحت أن عملية إغلاق المدرسة عندما تتم فى الظروف المثلى - توقيت مناسب - سيحد من الطلب على خدمات الرعاية الصحية فى مرحلة ذروة انتشار الفيروس بنسبة تتراوح بين 30% إلى 50%، منوهة بأن نسبة الحد من انتشار المرض قد تكون محدودة للغاية إذا ما تم إغلاق المدارس فى مرحلة متأخرة جدا من انتشار المرض بين أفراد المجتمع المحلى.
