US, New Mexico: 18 August - A New Mexico woman is being tested for Ebola. The 30-year-old returned from a teacher assignment in Sierra Leone with fever, muscle aches, headache and a sore throat. Isolated at University of New Mexico Hospital. tests pending
Spain, Bilbao:18 August - A middle-aged man was admitted to the Basurto University Hospital in the city of Bilbao with a fever. He had recently returned from a business trip to Sierra Leone and is now in isolation. tested negative Tests carried out at Madrid's Carlos III hospital indicated the man may be suffering from malaria. His condition has been described as stable.
Uganda:18 August - Authorities at Entebbe Airport have placed an unidentified woman traveling from Nigeria under isolation, after she developed signs of Ebola virus disease. Togo, Lome:19 August - A Filipino arrived, last Thursday, in Lome on board of a boat from Liberia. He is admitted to the University Hospital campus of Lome, His illness has worsened since Sunday. Samples have been sent abroad for testing. Test Pending

D.R.Congo, Equateur:20 August - A team of experts is sent to the remote northern Equateur province after several people died there from a disease with Ebola-like symptoms. An Equateur resident said that around ten people had died, including four health care workers, after suffering from fever, diarrhoea and bleeding from the ears and nostrils. Myanmar, Yangon:20 August - A 22-year-old man, who worked in Guinea and Liberia in West Africa, was found during a screening of passengers at the Yangon International Airport Tuesday. The man, who arrived from Bangkok and had a fever, was immediately sent to an isolated ward on the outskirts of the capital city. Test Pending
Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City :20 August - Two Nigerian passengers showing symptom of fever has been isolated at a ward of the Tropical Hospital and had their blood samples taken for further testing. Test PendingAfter 24 hours of monitoring, the two patients were without fever, showing no abnormal signs or symptoms related to Ebola. The two men will be put under "community surveillance" for three weeks.

India, Mumbai:24 August - A 32-year-old man suspected to have contracted the deadly Ebola virus was quarantined on his return from Nigeria on Sunday evening. The passenger was directly taken to the designated Bal Thackeray Trauma Care Centre in Jogeshwari, where he has been quarantined.
