Magnitude-6.9 quake shakes Peru's coast
LIMA, Peru (AP) -- A magnitude-6.9 earthquake centered off Peru's central coast sent people running panicked into the streets Friday in cities badly damaged by a killer quake four years earlier. There were no reports of damage though hospital directors reported at least 20 injuries.

Traffic jams were reported in Ica as townspeople struggled to check on their homes and civil defense authorities recommended residents evacuate coastal areas in case of a repeat of the tsunami that followed the 2007 earthquake.
Emergency service authorities in neighboring Chile said they see no risk of a tsunami following the earthquake.
