Re: Magnitude 5.1 - SOUTH ISLAND OF NEW ZEALAND

GeoNet this morning upgraded the 10.34pm 5.3 quake to a 5.4, and changed the epicentre from 10km west of Akaroa to 10km south-west of Christchurch. The actual epicentre is closer to Halswell than Akaroa.

They also report the quake was at a depth of 8km not 12km.
